As an integrative therapist, I use a combination of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I can also provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating disorders (CBT-E), short-term focused CBT-T and the Freed approach which was specifically designed for young adults including university students with early onset eating disorders.
I can provide short-term and long-term therapy which could be solution-focused or explorative depending on your needs. I have worked with adults from diverse age groups, backgrounds, cultural, spiritual, and religious beliefs, seamlessly integrating these aspects into my therapeutic interventions if needed.
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist providing one-to-one sessions for adults aged 18 and over. I have extensive experience working with long-term and enduring depression and anxiety, trauma and complex PTSD, eating disorders, perinatal mental health issues such as postnatal depression and anxiety, work and university-related stress, and life transitions. I also offer support for personal growth, self-awareness, and identity struggles.
I have worked in the NHS in primary and secondary mental health units, for specialised charities and in a private mental health hospital – all based in Central London. My specialist experiences help me to tailor your treatment plan for your needs by providing various approaches.
Before starting my career as a psychologist, I worked in multinational corporate companies and have a good understanding of corporate employees’ issues and work-related stress. I have also lived in several countries and have developed an interest in cultural issues and challenges in a new environment, and how these factors may contribute to anxiety, depression and psychological distress.
I conducted my doctorate research on the experiences of first-time mothers and the use of self-compassion. I also completed my MSc research on the experiences of cannabis vapers.
